How do I book a session for a client?

Last updated

Staff book a session for an existing client from the calendar, and new clients can book themselves on your clinic's online booking page.

Booking for a client (therapist or admin)

  1. Open the calendar and start a new session.
  2. Choose the service, the date and time, and the location. In-person sessions may also need a room.
  3. Choose the client.
  4. Optionally add a session memo or a fee, and add any forms to send with the booking.
  5. To repeat the session, set it to repeat (for example weekly or every two weeks).
  6. Save. The client gets a confirmation and reminders are scheduled.

A therapist books on their own schedule. Admins can book for another therapist.

When a client books online

On your clinic's online booking page, the client:

  1. Says whether they are new or returning.
  2. Chooses a service and, if offered, a session length.
  3. Chooses phone, virtual or in person, if the service offers more than one.
  4. Chooses a therapist, if the clinic lets them.
  5. Picks a time. Times are shown in the clinic's time zone.
  6. Enters their details and accepts the clinic policy.

Some clinics also ask for a card to be saved. Nothing is charged at booking.

If this does not work

If no times appear, check the therapist's availability and that online booking is on. Then contact Ignia support by chat.
